Stainforth 4 ALL community library is proud to sponsor our local football team Stainforth Juniors. The team have had tremendous success over the past four years. Here's what they've achieved:
In 2014 the under 14s, Division 2, Stainforth Juniors won the league! Playing 20 and winning 20! Setting a COUNTY RECORD of 158 goals for!
In 2015 the under 15s won the league again! Playing 18, winning 14, drawing 2 and losing 2.
They won the Goole and Thorne cup twice! Beating Moorends and then Armthorpe 4-1 in the second half coming from 1-0 down.
Stainforth Juniors also won the Doncaster Junior Cup against Ordsall who had not lost a game in over two years! Our lads won 4-3 in extra time.
In 2017 Stainforth Juniors are now in the under 18s premier division and are currently joint top of the league, playing 5, winning 4, losing 1.
Their manager Keith would like to especially thank Tommy Rhodes for his continued commitment in coaching the lads, helping to mark the pitches, putting up the nets and his special duties as the linesman. Fantastic work at 74 years old!
Keith would also like a special mention to all the lads:
"Since we started some of us 11 years ago, it's been an incredible journey but the last four years have been fantastic. We have all learned and grown together through hard work, determination, again thank you all so much."
