Stainforth 4 ALL - September 2026
It has been a busy September at Stainforth4All, with all weekly groups now back up and running and a brand-new craft group proving a welcome addition to the weekly activities.
Every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm, local crafters are invited to join a friendly crafting session where they can relax, socialize and create their own handmade projects. This month’s theme is Halloween decorations, with activities planned by Suzanne. People are also encouraged to bring along their own ideas and suggestions. All materials are provided free of charge.
Preparations are also well underway for the annual Halloween Party, which will take place during half-term week on Friday 30 October. Children and families are invited to come along for an afternoon of spooky fun, games and entertainment.
Job Club Update
This month Stainforth4All’s job club has helped over twenty people with employment support. This includes creating and updating twelve CVs, arranging and paying for two CSCS cards and helping someone renew their forklift truck licence. We were also pleased to support a new female DIY business startup in Stainforth.
Planning for December
Looking ahead to Christmas, we are once again appealing for donations to support our popular Christmas Toy Giveaway. Thanks to the generosity of local people and money raised from the charity shop throughout the year, more than 200 toys were given out to children in the community last year. We hope to be able to provide the same service again this year.
Anyone wishing to donate can drop off new toys at the library desk during normal opening hours. Donations suitable for children of all ages are welcome. We are also seeking contributions for our upcoming Christmas Raffle, with donations of new and unused gifts greatly appreciated.
In addition to seasonal activities, staff are continuing to plan a range of support services for the colder months ahead. Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for announcements regarding warm spaces and other community events, as the team works behind the scenes to provide help, companionship and practical support throughout the winter season.
For more information about activities, events or donations, visit the library during opening hours and speak to a member of the team.
