A Summer of Fun at the Library

August was packed with fun, learning, and laughter at Stainforth 4ALL Community Library. We were delighted to welcome lots of new faces to our Kids Club activities, outdoor events, and family trips – creating memories that will last well beyond the summer holidays.

One of the biggest highlights came on 28th August when we held our Water Slide & Sports Day. The sun shone as children from across the community enjoyed a day of games, water fun, and plenty of laughter. A big thank you to Julie and Ken Keegan for hosting us at Stainforth Resource Centre.

On 20th August, 17 children and their families joined us for a fantastic day out at Boston Park Farm, where they explored the famous Maize Maze, fed the animals, and played in the adventure parks.

Our Teddy Bears’ Picnic on 14th August was another special event. Children arrived and adopted a teddy of their choice, took part in outdoor play and enjoyed a delicious picnic, complete with teddy bear cake and treats.

History came alive on 13th August, when 17 adults and 13 children enjoyed an exciting educational trip to Eden Camp. Families explored the museum together, learning about wartime history while making new memories of their own.

Earlier in the month, on 7th August, the library was transformed into a mini-zoo with a visit from Reptile Rendezvous & Furry Friends. From snakes and lizards to meerkats and even a tarantula, children got the chance to meet and learn about an incredible variety of animals up close.

A huge thank you goes to our wonderful volunteers, parents, and supporters who made it all possible, and of course all the children who came along to our events.
